Jesus Wept

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

A few days ago I had a rough morning.  I had had back-to-back stressful days, poor sleep and pressure.  I had an appointment in town and got stuck behind a truck hauling large farm equipment for multiple miles.  By the time I got to my appointment I was anxious, only to find out my appointment had been cancelled.  Frustrated and tired, I sat in the parking lot and cried.

Lord, I thank You for John 11:35 that says, “Jesus wept.”  Jesus was completely God, but He was also human.  He still felt heartache, disappointment, stress and sadness.  He experienced every emotion that we do, and yet He never sinned.  Jesus was perfect and He cried.  Thank You that when we cry, You don’t despise our weakness.  You look upon us with compassion and remember.  The pressure to be perfect has been lifted. Jesus is perfection for us.

Father, I lift my friend. I ask that You would hold them in Your arms.  Help them to just let it all out.  Your shoulders are broad to carry every load.  Nothing they can say can possibly shock You, and Your resolve to love them remains unshakeable.  Dry their tears, lift their chin and let their heart hear Your words of comfort and compassion.  Father, I ask for a touch where they are hurting and strength to stand.  Holy Spirit come.  Give them courage to keep going and faith to keep believing. Lift their fears and burdens, and cover them with Your peace.  Thank You, Father, that Jesus wept, and it is okay when we do too.  In Jesus Name ❤️
