Beautiful Eyes

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.” - Psalm 34:15

Father, our eyes perceive the world and our circumstances.  We see the surface and draw conclusions about both people and things, and we allow those conclusions to dictate to our hearts how we should feel. We see a quick clip of someone’s life and determine they are bad, or see a hard circumstance and determine that it is beyond hope.  Your Word says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” - Romans 12:2.  We are to walk by faith and not by sight, and we are to relate to the world through the mind of Christ Jesus.

Father, I lift my friend.  Give them Your eyes with which to see others - eyes that see beyond the surface to the very heart.  Plant seeds of compassion within them.  Give them an ability to see what is held in common with others so those things can be celebrated, instead of focusing on the differences that lead to anger and hatred.  Holy Spirit, change their way of thinking (Ephesians 4:23).  Sanctify and cleanse them by the washing of water through the Word. (Eph 5:26).  Give them eyes to see the gem amongst the junk and the treasure in the turmoil of their circumstances, because Your Word says, “we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.” - Romans 8:28.

Give them new eyes today - eyes of wisdom, compassion and love.  Replace the lenses of doubt and despair with lenses of faith, hope and joy.  And thank You for seeing them through those same beautiful eyes.  In Jesus Name ❤️
