Broken Pottery

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” - Isaiah 55:8 NLT

Father, our hope is built on You alone.  You found us in the darkness and brought us into Your glorious light.  Your kingdom has ways unlike that of the world.  Your ways are not our ways and Your thoughts are not our thoughts.  To live in Your kingdom, we must take on Your way of thinking and behaving.  Lord, we are a people of habit and we tend to fall back on what is familiar and what we know.  We continue to do what we have always done.  But we are not content with how things have been, Lord.  We want more of You.  We seek Your presence and Your likeness.  There before You, crown us with the mind of Christ that we will see our circumstances, our pain and grief through the eyes of Jesus, who counted it all joy to endure rejection, persecution and even death.  He didn’t simply endure it, but embraced it, for through His obedience to Your every Word, He fulfilled His purpose, bringing reconciliation between the Father and His lost and broken children.

Father, I lift my friend before You.  As they endure this light and temporary suffering (2 Cor 4:17), strengthen them to stand firm and refuse to engage in grumbling.  For what is not of You, we ask for deliverance.  But what is of You, what will bring You glory and expand Your kingdom, strengthen their arms to embrace it as a gift.  Your ways are higher than theirs.  In the natural, they cannot conceive of pain of any kind as a blessing.  But as the crushing of grapes brings new wine and the pruning of vines, spiritual fruit, I pray they will run to submit, with a full heart, to Your plan today.  Take their earthen vessel (2 Cor 4:7), fill them with the oil of Your Spirit and new wine.  Be glorified in their broken bits of pottery (Is 64:8).  And be delighted in them as they find their delight in You!  In Jesus Name ❤️

Dear friend, are you struggling to understand why the Father would allow your difficult circumstances?  His Word promises to work things out for our good when we love Him and are called.  Submit to His plan and ask the Father to help you to find the hidden treasure of good that He has tucked into your turmoil.  Then keep digging until you find it. 💡
