Seeds

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,”
II Peter 1:2

Lord, this verse reminds me that in order to have something multiplied back to me, it is important that I first give it away.  Whether it is tithing, grace or mercy, what I give away will be returned to me many times over.  It’s easy when things are going well, but when we are treated rudely or unfairly, it takes the fruit of the Spirit of self control to not react in kind.

Father, I lift my friend before You.  We want their life to be blessed.  Today, by Your Holy Spirit, empower them to be a force for good.  Prompt them to be generous, patient and unselfish, full of love and a beautiful reflection of Your kindness.  When met with harshness, disappointment, rudeness or selfishness, strengthen them to respond with wisdom and maturity, and to die to their flesh.  Help them to remain blameless and to keep their character above reproach.  Give them an awareness of Your pleasure as they take the high road and respond with a bridled tongue, soft words and exuberant grace and mercy.  May what they plant bring a bountiful future harvest of joy and blessing, as they reap then what was sown today, as a brief moment of sacrifice brings a season of rich reward.  Help them to scatter only good seeds today!  In Jesus Name ❤️
