Take A Walk!

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.” - Genesis 3:8

Lord, my heart jumps in my chest at the thought of seeing You face to face.  Adam and Eve heard You walking in the garden, not because You needed to stretch Your legs and clear Your head, but because You wanted to be with them.   Thank You for being mindful of us, and for not seeing us like annoying flies buzzing around Your head while You struggle to figure out how to fix the problems of mankind.  You don’t fret, pace or sit bewildered with Your head in Your hands.  You are Lord of all and remain at perfect peace.

Father, I lift my friend before You.  You don’t just endure their visits or fidget and check Your watch, waiting for them to stop talking so You can get on with more urgent matters or more important people.  The truth is that at this precise moment, Your rapt attention is on them.  They always have Your ear and they are the apple of Your eye (Zech 2:8).  Give them ears to hear You walking in the garden this morning, as You come to spend time with them.  You love them and miss the time together.  They don’t need to hide.  You see them as perfect, spotless and blameless by the Blood of the Lamb.

Give them an awareness of Your presence today, Father.  May their thoughts be different, their actions wise and sure and their words full of grace, as they remember that they do not walk alone.  They are in the company of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who today and every day, bids for an audience with them.  Dispel any gloom of loneliness and replace it with the joyful security of belonging and being loved.  Walk with them today, Lord.  And keep their steps firm and in the Way.  In Jesus Name ❤️
