The End of the Dock

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” - Psalm 34:17-19

Father, we all go through times of frustration, grief and discouragement.  Even Jesus, when in the garden, was in such extreme anguish that His sweat was like drops of blood.  You are not unfamiliar with our agony and sorrow. You understand the grief of ultimate betrayal, humiliation and abandonment.  Jesus wrestled with disappointment, discouragement and loss, exactly as we do.  He even bore the consequences for sin and failure, but not consequences for His sin and failure.  It was our consequences that He bore.

Father, I lift my friend.  Today they bear the weight of human emotions.  Whether grief, anguish, discouragement or disappointment - whether fear, doubt, betrayal or shame.  You know it all.  You know the pain, anxiety and abandonment.  You see their tears and sleepless nights, confusion and desperation for rescue and an answer.

Father, meet Your child in this exactly moment in time.  Right there where they are, I ask for Your Holy Spirit to overshadow them.  At the end of the rope, at the end of themselves, the bottom of the pit and the end of the dock - I ask for miraculous intervention, divine wisdom and peace.  I ask for healing by the stripes of Jesus and a lifting of the burden on their heart.  I ask for a gift of faith to believe and trust You, and for supernatural strength to obey You.  Bind up their wounds and speak healing and comfort over their brokenness.  Speak peace and stillness to their storm.  Blow on the embers of their hope.  Send Your angels and the body of Christ to minister in gentleness and love.  Reach down and lift them up, even now, Father.  You know fully the depths of pain they endure and have captured their every tear in a bottle.  Your heart is moved with compassion.  Deliver them!  Wrap them in Your arms.  Draw them close.  Lift the fog from their thoughts and clean out the recesses of their heart.  Provide what they desperately need from Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and give them a reprieve and rest.  We bless You for being a loving and ever-resent Father to the fatherless.  We praise You for Your kindness and love, Your power, grace and mercy.  Visit them today.  And change them into the image of Your Son by being in Your presence.  In Jesus Name ❤️
