Battlefield Letters From Home

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” - 2 Corinthians 10:5

Lord, I lift my friend before You.  The circumstances of their life and the condition of the world can feel so overwhelming.  The intensity of the battle feels to be heating up.  Lord, strengthen and comfort them to be able to stand firm and walk by faith.  Prevent their feet from stumbling and their heart from straying.  Tune their ears to hear Your voice above the din.  May the Word of God they have purposed to hide in their heart be a source of strength in this season, that they wouldn’t have to muster up more energy or courage, but that Your Word within them would arise and come to life, providing the necessary added strength and comfort they need to remain strong in their faith.  May every reading of Your Word be as a strengthening letter from home while on the battlefield.  Show them when the enemy is attempting to feed them poisonous morsels of discontentment and bitterness seductively wrapped in the saccharine sweetness of imitation comfort.  Help them to remain wise as serpents and innocent as doves, rejecting every bait and  snare designed to trap and wound them.  Instead, strengthen them to walk with sureness of foot, gracefully and unwaveringly, in supernatural peace, strength and integrity.

Walk with them again today.  Thank You that they walk today and every day with You as their constant companion.  Be their good shepherd.  Minister healing to their wounds and anoint their heads with oil, dispelling every thought that attempts to steal their peace.  As they submit to You, turn the tables for them, that they may take captive and master the very things that the enemy designed to imprison them.  Provide for their every need, dear Father, and go before them on Your good path of blessing.  In Jesus Name ❤️
