Taking Hold of New Life

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true." - Revelations 21:5

Father, we see it in nature.  Year after year the trees blossom and the flowers bloom and lift their cheerful faces to the sun.  With time, they wither and fade away.  Ecclesiastes reminds us that, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:” - Ecclesiastes 3:1

Lord, I lift my friend before You.  There are things in their lives that have died in this season.  Some things passed abruptly, while others they watched languish away.  Both are distressing and bring with them a measure of grief and sadness.  These hard seasons have a way of glueing our feet to the ground.  We tend to get stuck where we are and struggle to move forward.  Father, would You please release them from the things that hold them prisoner in this season - the grief, loss, sadness, regret, unforgiveness, fear and guilt?  Show them their role in taking hold of their freedom, and give them a glimpse of hope on the horizon.  Your Word says that without a vision, the people perish (Pro 29:18). Give them Your vision of hope for their future.  Then, may that vision become a ladder with which they may escape their tarry pit.

Breathe fresh courage into their hearts, Lord.  Blow on the fading embers of their faith, strength and inspiration.  Bring renewed hope, health and purpose.  May the season ahead be one of freshness, promise and fulfillment.  We ask that their best days would be ahead of them instead of behind!  Bring revival to their beliefs.  May they leave the past season in Your hands, and press forward to a new season.  And empower them to release their grip on what has died in order to take hold of new life.  In Jesus Name ❤️
