Speaking Into Being

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” - Matthew 17:20.

Lord, usually this verse is referenced when we are being encouraged to speak about something good we pray will come into existence.  Today you are highlighting belief and the tongue.  Just as we can partner with You in speaking wonderful thing into being, if we are believing the lies of the enemy for bad things, we can also speak them into existence. Your Word says, “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,” - Matthew 12:36.  The tendency is to use far greater caution with our actions than with our words.  We can see the end product of actions, but we mistakenly believe that our words are just a vapor and they disappear.  Just as You spoke the world and everything in it into being, You have given us a gift of creation with our words as well.  We speak into being so many things.  Lord, help us to speak blessing, hope, health, joy and salvation into being.  Stop us short before we utter words of destruction, discouragement and calamity.  Remind us not not speak into existence the lies of the enemy, thus using our gift to create to fulfill his plans.

Lord, I lift my friend before You.  Quicken them before careless words come tumbling from their lips.  Remind them to bridle their tongue, not only against speaking gossip or untruth, but also unintentional curses upon themself and others.  Help them to put constraints on their thoughts according to Philippians 4:8.  Then, in thinking on things that are noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtue and praiseworthy—May these things be quick to flow from their lips - and in the believing and speaking they might come into being.

Bless them with a day of magnificent creation, stemming from both the work of their hands and words of their mouth.  May their lips, in recounting the pregnant truth of Your Word, give birth to life, hope and peace wherever they goes.  In Jesus Name ❤️
