Warm Honey

Good morning, my friend !  Good morning, Father!

“Of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.” - Psalm 103:1-5

Lord so many times we hear untruths spoken during the course of our day.  The mere repetition and familiarity of the phrases can cause us to begin to believe that what is being said is truth, even though it isn’t.  When we hear the lies more often than the truth, it is easy to become swayed and enticed down the wrong path - a path that leads us to where we really don’t want to go.

Father, I lift my friend.  I ask that You would bless them with a renewed hunger for Your Word.  I pray that opening its pages and reading of its truths would evoke a sigh of relief and satiate the gnawing hunger in their soul.  Reveal Yourself, Lord.  I ask for a radical revelation - an encounter with You wherein You emboss Your image on their heart and soul, that will serve as a lingering reminder of the truth, making the lies of the enemy simple to detect and easy to deflect.  Bless them with a holy hunger and a divine taste for Your Word.  Then, meet their longing, satisfying them with Yourself, as it says, “And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” - Isaiah 58:11.  “For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.” - Psalm 107:9.

Speak their name this morning, Father.  May the tenderness of Your voice cause them to seek You first - before anything and anyone else (Matt 6:33).  Bless them today with sweet comfort in Your presence, and may the oil of Your Holy Spirit and Your whispers of hope, pour down over and soothe them like warm honey from Heaven - sweet to the soul and healing to the bones (Pro 16:24).  In Jesus Name ❤️
