Ripping Off The Velcro

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:31-32

Lord, I have seen such a great amount of unkindness lately.  Cruelty really.  Harsh words inflict wounds and then stick like Velcro to our souls.  Father I lift my friend.  Help them to remember to start the day by ensuring that their whole armor is firmly in place (Ephesians 6:11).  Help them to so fully fill their minds with Your Word that lies will not soak in.  May their hearts be so full of hope and love, that fiery darts will not penetrate.  Help them to believe the best of others (1 Cor 13:7) and assume that any attack came not from hatred, but from a place of brokenness.  I pray their love would cover a multitude of offenses (1 Peter 4:8), and that they would respond with lavish forgiveness, compassion and mercy.   Kiss their lips with words that build up (Eph 4:29) and bless and lighten their steps as they leave their burdens at Your feet (1 Peter 5:7). In Jesus Name ❤️

Dear friend, have you been hurt by another’s actions?  Unforgiveness keeps us shackled in a prison of our own design. We hold the keys, but choose to not use them.  Forgiveness isn’t a feeling.  It’s a choice.  Choose to forgive and your feelings will follow.  💡
