A Blessing For The Weary

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;” –
Psalm 34:15 NIV

Lord, You are so good!  You are truly our Father in the most marvelous sense of the word.  I lift Your child before You.  Meet them at their point of need.  Throughout this entire journey, there has not even been a split second when Your eye was not upon them with the full range of their fears, concerns, needs, anxieties, hopes and dreams on display before You.  No detail about them has escaped Your careful attention, and Your heart is moved with compassion.

Lord, You are their Great Physician, Provider and their God of all comfort.  Call them into the secret place.  Minister healing to their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs.  Show them how to fan the flames of their faith, stir up theirs gifts (2 Tim 1:6), take their thoughts captive (2 Cor 10:5), cinch down their armor (Eph 6:11) and respond to the tormenting taunts of the enemy with the piercing truth of the Word of God (Heb 4:12).  Strengthen them to resist the devil, that he will flee from them (Jam 4:7).

Bless them with a gift of faith to trust You in this season.  Remind them of who they are, whose they are, and more importantly who You are and all You have done.  Then remind them as Your child, that the same explosive power that conquered sin and death and resurrected Jesus from the dead resides within them (Rom 8:11).  In that knowledge, dispel timidity and crush to dust the lies of the enemy designed to slow their steps, weigh down their shoulders and keep them from walking with the lightness, boldness and authority they have been given has Your child.  Protect them from the faith-devouring vultures who lie in wait to snatch the truth that is to be carefully guarded in their heart.  Help them, Lord.  We ask for Your presence to go with them, and for the mind of Christ to bring hope and supernatural peace.

What the enemy intends for evil, we ask You to turn it for their good (Gen 50:20).  Then give them new eyes—eyes to detect and reject the lies of the enemy and perceive and take hold of the good tucked in their trial.  May that revelation revive, refresh and encourage them to daily get back up, brush themselves off and keep going.  In Jesus Name ❤️

Dear friend, are you discouraged, because you have been listening to the enemy whispering in your ear?  Why not pull out the Word and remind yourself of the truth?  May resisting and wielding the Sword of truth cause the enemy to flee. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! (Phil 4:13) 💡
