Wisdom Or Regret

Good morning, my friend!  Good morning, Father!

“”Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything.” -  1 Corinthians 6:12 (BSB)

Father, we praise You that the Old Covenant has been replaced by the New Covenant, sealed by the blood of Jesus.  Through it we have been given great freedom, grace and liberty.  Coupled with that liberty, however, there is a temptation to exceed the boundaries of wisdom in exercising our freedoms.  It’s sobering to remember that “There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell. Sure, those people appear to be having a good time, but all that laughter will end in heartbreak.” - Proverbs 14:12-13 MSG.  Our life is not our own.  We have been bought with a price (1 Cor 6:19).

Father, I lift my friend before You.  We ask You for wisdom, that the use of their freedoms would not lead them down paths that promise temporary pleasure at the cost of re-imprisonment and death.  Father, whet their appetite with Your goodness.  Open their ears and fine tune their focus on hearing Your divine whispers and seeking Your face.  In focusing on Your light, may their eyes accommodate to Your brilliance so as to blind them to the dark attempts of the enemy to distract, discourage and lure them them away from the joy and blessing found in Your presence.

We lay their hopes dreams, gifts and talents at Your feet.  We thank You for the purchased freedoms they enjoy and the liberties they have been gifted.  We ask for Your leading in their use, that their life would be marked by blessing.  I pray they would be held in high regard, both in Heaven and on Earth, for their wisdom, grace, kindness, integrity and strength.  Give them favor, opportunity and a voice to a generation that has cast off restraint and embraced the foolishness of man as wisdom, yet rejected godly wisdom as rubbish.  And teach them the depth of joys found in liberty in submission to wisdom, and obedience in submission to ultimate love.  In Jesus Name ❤️

Dear friend, is there a liberty that is threatening your freedom?  If so, I pray you bring it in submission to wisdom and find great peace in the surrender!
